PAS has sacked three of its members, who are also Perlis state assemblymen, with immediate effect.
The three are Chuping assemblyman Saad Seman, Fakhrul Anwar Ismail (Bintong) and Mohd Ridzuan Hashim (Guar Sanji).
The sacking comes on the heels of a leadership crisis involving Perlis Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli, following claims that several assemblymen from PAS and Bersatu have withdrawn their support for him.
PAS president Tuan Guru Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang said the decision was made by the party’s Central Working Committee at a meeting held earlier today.
“The Pas central working committee meeting held today has decided, based on Clause 76 and Clause 15A(1)(b) of the Pas Constitution (2025 Amendment), that the (three) members of the Pas legislative body have their membership terminated with immediate effect,” he said in a statement. + Source NST
