Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh met this evening with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Istanbul to discuss how to face off the deal of the century.
During the meeting, both sides stressed that they reject the deal because it is aimed at abolishing the rights of the Palestinian people to Jerusalem and return to their homeland.
Hamas and Erdogan stressed that the deal will not pass in the face of Arab and Islamic positions against it.
The Hamas chief briefed his counterpart on the movement’s endeavours to foil the US plan, including his initiative to phone President Abbas to promote a unified Palestinian stance against the deal.
This meeting is part of the movement’s efforts to mobilise support against the deal of the century. Haniyeh has already sent letters to all presidents, leaders, and princes of Arab and Islamic nations to that end. https://hamas.ps/en/
