Criminal cases such as theft, robbery and so on often occurs in a residential area which there is no security controls. Housing residents often have difficulty in obtaining emergency response when a crime occurs in their place, where they had to wait too long for the security forces reached the scene. Crimes such as burglary and vehicle thefts which often occurs in residential areas such as Taman Tunku and its surroundings in Lambir, require a police station so that the housing residents feel more assured of their safety.

So far, only a police station in Tanjung Lobang Miri will only take action if there is a report of theft and crime in neighborhoods around Lambir. This would make it difficult for the police officer on duty at the Tanjung Lobang police station because they have to received a report from outside the area and have to take a long time to take action on the spot.

The area is too wide and far from the police station is the among the causes of why difficult to contain criminal activities in the neighborhood and surrounding areas. The Ministry of Home Affairs should be able to build another police station in a residential area in Lambir to control criminal activities that often occur in the area.

We suggest to the Ministry of Home Affairs immediately build a police station in Lambir so that criminal activities such as theft can be controlled from continuously occurs mainly in a residential area in Taman Tunku, Riam and the surrounding residential areas in Miri Airport.

With the advent of a police station in a residential area, quick action can be taken immediately to curb crime in the neighborhood. We hope the parties concerned will take note and act quickly overcome the problem of this crime for the safety of the residents in the neighborhood which is often become the victims of theft and robbery as often reported in the media before this can be controlled as best as possible. Collaboration with the security and those concerned is greatly appreciated.
