No Perikatan Nasional component can unilaterally decide on the coalition’s status, position, and direction, says its chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar.
Samsuri, who is also Pas vice-president, said PN runs on consensus and is not owned by any single party.
“Pas is also one of the founding parties of PN, and I am one of the official signatories to its establishment,” he said in a Facebook post.
As such, he said any decision on its status and direction must be achieved through consensus. “Decisions must adhere to PN’s constitution and be made through the right channels,” he said.
Samsuri said his priority now is to ensure PN is managed properly in the interests of the people and the country.-NST
