“Kisah Juara Raja Lawak” BN’s obscene comic

http://buletinonline.net/http://buletinonline.net/v7/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/nurulizzah.jpgIt has come to my attention that a 16-page comic entitled, Kisah Juara Raja Lawak, which contains graphic images of a personality similar to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, has been sent to all the new voters in Lembah Pantai. The comic was sent via a post office in Shah Alam. This entire exercise involving this malicious comic’s distribution smacks of a well-orchestrated campaign to smear the reputation and credibility of our Opposition Leader, and in connection, the entire image of Pakatan Rakyat.

The distribution of obscene pamphlets is a federal offence as stated in Section 292(a) of the Penal Code whereby those found guilty of distributing obscene pamphlets can be jailed up to 3 years, or with fine, or both, as well as Sections 499 and 500 of the Penal Code whereby those found guilty of defamation can be jailed up to 2 years, or with fine, or both.

I call upon PDRM to swiftly, fairly and thoroughly investigate this case and ensure the perpetrators of this despicable crime of gutter politics are brought to book. Failure to do so will indicate that the BN-led government of the day is condoning the practice of gutter politics through the actions of the police force, not to mention the slant of the mainstream media in coverage of said issue – specifically in the alleged sex video involving the Opposition Leader of Malaysia.

Furthermore, I also call on the police to investigate the four police reports made by Datuk  Seri Anwar Ibrahim between 9 July 1999 to 20 August 1999, regarding the misuse of power by Tun Dr. Mahathir and the current Attorney-General Gani Patail as stated in the open letter bravely penned by Datuk Mat Zain Ibrahim to the current Inspector General of Police yesterday.

Finally I would like to remind and invite politicians from various political stripes to support a new political culture devoid of such mudslinging antics that leaves us bereft of any sense of moral integrity. The rakyat expects more from us. Let us not betray the hopes and aspirations of the rakyat.
