PAS has expressed surprise over Bersatu’s decision to sack its deputy president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin from the party yesterday.

PAS deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said the move came as a shock to the party.

However, the Kubang Kerian member of parliament said he hoped Bersatu would be able to resolve its internal strife as soon as possible.

“This decision by Bersatu comes as a shock to us and Pas is hoping that the internal issues within the party can be settled quickly,” he said.

Despite the latest development, Tuan Ibrahim urged all Pas machinery to remain focused on party work to ensure full preparations for the upcoming state elections.
