Sarawak PAS took note of and fully supports the decision of the Shura Council of Scholars (MSU) in respect of the cancellation of the relationship Tahaluf siyasi or political cooperation between PAS and DAP, but maintaining relationships tahaluf siyasi with PKR.
It is well known that DAP Sarawak had long decided to sever ties with PAS since a year ago. Sarawak PAS takes an open stance and rational and continues to face political future in Sarawak without the defendant with the existing decision by DAP Sarawak to provide full focus on the issues of the people of Sarawak.
Sarawak PAS will remain committed to a policy of mutual respect for the principles of PR and other parties in PR. Sarawak PAS will also continue to be a “check and balance” to the government of Sarawak BN.
Sarawak PAS ideas like 20% Royalty, removal of bridge tolls, proper education and comprehensive, social and economic improvement of the people appointed as Sarawak PAS struggle and has been accepted as the struggle of the people of Sarawak.
Sarawak PAS will continue to be the party that gives fresh ideas for the plight of the people of Sarawak, regardless of race and religion.
PR success at the last general election was the success to contest all seats, 1-on-1 against BN. Sarawak PAS urged understanding 1-on-1 will continue to be a consensus together even without a formal coalition. The opposition parties are urged not to lose focus and to continue the struggle to defend the people of Sarawak although with a different ideology.
Sarawak PAS also wish Selamat Hari Raya Eid Fitr to all. May all our deeds in this blessed month of Ramadan is accepted by Allah.
