They were Karpal Singh (DAP-Bukit Gelugor), Lim Kit Siang (DAP-Ipoh Timur), Chong Chieng Jen (DAP-Bandar Kuching), Sim Tong Him (DAP-Kota Melaka), William Leong Jee Keen (PKR-Selayang), Teo Nie Ching (DAP-Serdang), Gobind Singh Deo (DAP-Puchong), Prof Dr P. Ramasamy (DAP-Batu Kawan), Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham (DAP-Beruas).

Nga Kor Ming (DAP-Taiping), Loh Gwo Burne (PKR-Kelana Jaya), Nasharuddin Mat Isa (PAS-Bachok), Dr Tan Seng Giaw (DAP-Kepong), Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin (PAS-Bukit Gantang), Datuk Chua Soon Bui (IND-Tawau), Wong Hong Leng (DAP-Sibu) and M. Monagaran (DAP-Telok Intan).

They sought clarification over the rejection of between one and four questions from each MP after the house observed a moment’s silence as a mark of respect for Batu Sapi MP Datuk Edmund Chong Ket Wah of Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) who died in a road accident in Kota Kinabalu on Saturday.

Karpal Singh cited Standing Orders 23(1)(h) and asked why the Dewan Rakyat had rejected his question on the 1Malaysia concept.-Bernama
