PAS Youth (Dewan Pemuda PAS Malaysia – DPPM) urged the Malaysian government to emulate the Brunei government implement Islamic Sharia law formally on Tuesday. Announcement marked the Sultan of Brunei Brunei will implement Islamic Sharia law and became the first country in Southeast Asia that will implement Hudud. Brunei Sultan stressed the implementation of Islamic law to ensure his responsibility to God Almighty has been implemented.
DPPM feel admiration for the Sultan of Brunei’s firm stance that did not hesitate to ensure that Islamic law is implemented in the country. Although there may be objections from the international community, especially from those who do not understand Islam as a whole, but the firmness of the Brunei government denies the voices of protest. He is not afraid to international pressure, protest outside the community, other agencies and the criticism merely more afraid of his God.
In this case, the DPPM feel fit and lead Malaysia Brunei government in implementing Islamic law. This is because the Malaysian constitution recognizes Islam as the official religion of the federation, the country’s main Muslim leaders , national leaders also chanted slogans championing Islam, the majority of the population is Muslim and understanding of the people of Islam in the country have also been improved over several decades ago.
Therefore, Malaysia should have no other reason together also lifted the Brunei Islamic law in the country. In the event of peaceful and prosperous countries enjoy the fruit of 50 years of independence; Malaysia should have enough time to do things gradually and comprehensively.
DPPM remind leaders of the country that they are responsible before God Almighty through the authority that is entirely up to them. The country’s leaders must be asked about the trust they have assumed and whether they have been implemented through the laws of Allah Almighty has revealed. As long as the country does not implement Islamic law entirely in accordance with Islam , as long as that country’s leaders to bear the sins of the people and the country.
