Arakan Rohingya National Organisation (ARNO) and Burmese Rohingya Organisation UK (BROUK) strongly reject the recent statement of Al-Qaeda leader Zawahiri.
We reiterate that Rohingya are a peace-loving and peaceful-living people, committed to remain a community within Arakan, and to work with other pro-democracy groups in order to rebuild a peaceful democratic and federal Union of Burma, where shall prevail non-discrimination, absolute equality, complete freedom of religion, fundamental human rights and freedom and peaceful-co-existence among diverse peoples of the country.

Meanwhile, we strongly reject and condemn the government’s current efforts of Bengalinization and its wicked actions of forcing and torturing the Rohingya people into accepting the term “Bengali” in place of their “Rohingya ethnicity” so as to make them non-nationals or illegal immigrants from Bangladesh. It is genocide and is totally unacceptable.
We, therefore, urge upon the UN with international community, OIC, EU, UK, USA, ASEAN and Myanmar’s neighbours to timely intervene in Arakan, on ground of humanitarianism, in order to save the Rohingya community before it is too late.
