In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Asian Federation of Muslim Youth (AFMY) strongly condemns the act of bombings at the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid An-Nabawi) and a number of places in Saudi Arabia yesterday. The incident at Prophet’s mosque in particular, caused the death of four people and wounding five others.

AFMY offers our condolences to all the victims and families, as well as to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and all of the people who were subjected to a series of bombing attacks that occurred yesterday.

Iman Budiman2This tragedy does not reflect the teachings of Islam which does not allow such inhuman attack. Moreover the attacks was committed on places of worship like the Prophet’s Mosque and was done in the glorious month of Ramadhan.

This incident gives an important signal to all Muslims as this kind of act will be continuously branded to “Islam”, with the intention of giving negative image to Islam.

We would like to call upon all quarters to play their role in the field of education and dakwah about the beauty of Islam, and to use any political measures to prevent any form of violence that is labeled with the name of Islam.

AFMY urges all Muslim leaders to return to Islam as the solution to all the problems of the ummah.

Mr Iman Budiman
President of Asian Federation of Muslim Youth (AFMY)
