Teluk Pasu State Assemblyman Datuk Rahin Mohd Said said the figure may increase as it is believed that many houses have not been accounted for.

“The storm last night is the worst in history,” he told reporters after visiting victims in several affected villages here Sunday.
Rahin who is also State Exco for Tourism, Culture, Arts and Heritage said worst hit was Kampung Kebur Air where over 30 houses were destroyed.
He said the state government will provide assistance such as roofing materials to repair the houses while trees that pose danger to villagers were ordered cut.
Civil Defence Department personnel were seen busy cutting the fallen trees that blocked roads while some fell on electrical cables.
Operation officer Othman Mohamed said a team of ten been clearing the roads of fallen trees after the storm struck at 10pm.
The villages affected include Kampung Manir, Kampung Kebur Air and Kampung Wakaf Mempelam.
