KUALA TERENGGANU, Feb 10 (Bernama) — PAS has given Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said three days to retract what it alleges is a statement reportedly by him that it is “a party of deviationist teachings”.
PAS Central Committee Member Datuk Abu Bakar Chik said the party would take action against Ahmad if he did not retract the statement allegedly carried in a mainstream newspaper.
“It is a very serious accusation,” he told reporters at a media gathering with Terengganu PAS leaders also attended by Terengganu PAS Commissioner Abdul Wahid Endut.
Ahmad is alleged to have made the statement in Kijal on Wednesday at the distribution of the 1Malaysia People’s Aid (BR1M).– BERNAMA
