KUALA TERENGGANU: Terengganu Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said has lodged a police report against bloggers who have accused him of being caught for khalwat.
The report was lodged by his political secretary, Wan Ahmad Nizam Wan Hakim at the Kuala Terengganu Police District Headquarters at 3.35pm on Monday.
Speaking to reporters after lodging the report, Wan Ahmad Nizam said he handed over the blog posts on the slanderous allegations in print to the police.
He asked the police to investigate and take action against the bloggers for making baseless allegations.
Meanwhile, Kuala Terengganu police chief ACP Zamri Samsuddin, who confirmed receiving the report, said the case would be investigated under Section 500 of the Penal Code for defamation.
Ahmad had said that he would take legal action against the bloggers. – Bernama
