KUALA TERENGGANU: A teenage restaurant worker has been charged with raping his 15-year-old girlfriend.
Tuan Mohd Hafizul Tuan Dolah, 19, pleaded not guilty to committing the offence at 10pm on March 28 and 1.30am on March 29 at a house in Kampung Raja Barang in Chendering here.
Sessions Court judge Zainal Abidin Kamaruddin issued a confinement order for the youth to remain in the district and report to the Chendering police station every month.
The offence under Section 376 of the Penal Code carries a jail term of not less than five years and not more than 30 years and whipping upon conviction.
DPP Masriwani Mahmud prosecuted while the accused was not represented.-TheStarOnline
