KUALA TERENGGANU – A boutique worker at the Sultan Mahmud Airport here faces being fined up to RM100 for using the “B” word against a policemen in an incident at the airport on Saturday.
Nur Syafa Watiha Wahab, 19, from Kampung Telaga Batin, Seberang Takir here, was charged in the Kuala Terengganu Magistrates Court today with insulting Const Mohd Hafifi Ali by calling him “police bodoh” (stupid police) when the latter stopped her at the entrance of the airport for not wearing a helmet while riding a motorcycle at 1pm Saturday.
She pleaded guilty before Magistrate Rusilah Chik.
She was charged under the Minor Offences Act 1957 and is liable to be fined a maximum of RM100.
The court set June 7 for sentencing and allowed her bail at RM1,000 in one surety in the interim.
