KUALA TERENGGANU – A total of 240 people from 67 families were evacuated to relief centres in three districts namely Marang, Hulu Terengganu and Kemaman as at 4pm yesterday.
The state Welfare Department portal stated that it has opened a relief centre at Dewan Sivik in Wakaf Tapai, Marang, where eight people from two families were seeking shelter.
In Kemaman, 105 people from 28 families were placed at Balai JKKK Padang Kubu; 58 victims from 13 families are at the Padang Kubu mosque, while nine people from one family have been moved to Sekolah Kebangsaan Telok Kalong, Kemaman.
In Hulu Terengganu, two relief centres namely Dewan Seri Putih, Kampung Tok Lawit and Balairaya Kampung Kemat are sheltering 60 people from 23 families.-NST
