Johor PAS wants to contest in all 82 state and parliamentary seats in the general election if PKR does not get back to them on seat allocation. It will also contest in DAP-held seats.
State commissioner Datuk Dr Mahfodz Mohamed (pic) said they have have tried to contact PKR about the seat allocations but have yet to get any response.
He said that PAS was willing to go to the polls alone and cooperate with smaller parties or non-governmental organisations.
“I know it will be difficult if we go in alone but nothing is impossible,” he told a press conference here.
Dr Mahfodz added that in the last election, PAS contested in nine parliment and 21 state seats. They only won four state seats but none of their candidates lost their deposits.
Asked if there would be a last minute compromise with Johor DAP to avoid three-cornered fights, he said that was impossible.
He added that PAS planned to contest in seats won by DAP including Tangkak, Yong Peng, Stulang, Johor Jaya, Pekan Nenas, Pengkalan Rinting, Labis, Bakri and Tanjong Piai.
