KUALA TERENGGANU: The Terengganu palace is not conferring any state awards and medals in conjunction with the 48th birthday of Sultan Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin today.
State Secretary Datuk Mazlan Ngah confirmed there would be no investiture ceremony according to a letter that he received from the palace.
“The celebration will be held on a moderate scale as well,” he said here yesterday.
Mazlan said prayers would be held at Istana Maziah today to mark the Sultan’s birthday.
This will be the third consecutive year the Sultan is not conferring any awards or medals during his birthday.
