KUALA TERENGGANU: A female national sepak takraw player and an 18-year-old mother were among seven people arrested in two separate drug raids here on Sunday.

The 20-year-old takraw state player was nabbed with two men and another woman when police raided a room at a budget hotel in Cerong Lanjut near here.


The couples are aged between 20 and 26, said state Narcotics department chief Superintendent Roslan Abd Wahid said.


The other woman held is a clerk, while the rest are jobless.


In the 11pm raid, police found 34 WY stimulant pills with a street value of RM1,190 ($503) and RM350 ($148) cash, believed to be proceeds from drug sales.
