Terengganu PAS said the RM2 million suit filed by former Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) candidate for Bukit Besi against PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang does not affect the party’s image.
Terengganu PAS commissioner Satiful Bahri Mamat said the suit filed by Mohd Shamsul Mat Awin against the party’s number one leader had in fact increased the support for the party.

“However, they don’t affect the party’s image and we also give our full support to the president,” he told reporters after the Media Gathering With PAS Leaders, here.
On Feb 23, the Kuala Terengganu High Court ordered Abdul Hadi to pay compensation of RM2 million to former PKR candidate for the Bukit Besi state seat after he failed to appear in court for a suit filed by the plaintiff, Mohd Shamsul Mat Awin, on Dec 5, last year.
However, on Thursday (Feb 27) Abdul Hadi filed an application to set aside the judgement order on the libel suit filed by Mohd Shamsul.
