GEORGE TOWN: A policeman from Bukit Aman was among 38 people nabbed at a “wild party” in a Sungai Nibong condominium here.

The participants were high on drugs and did not notice the presence of policemen even when the personnel busted the party at 8am yesterday.

All of them were taken to the police headquarters for questioning.

Eighteen of them tested positive for ganja and methamphetamine, including three teenage girls.

State deputy CID chief Asst Comm Nasir Salleh declined to elaborate.

He said the 18 individuals, including the policeman, had been remanded to assist in investigations.

The group had, apparently, staged a party earlier on a beach in Batu Feringghi before continuing the revelry in the condominium.

The party is understood to have been planned over the social media, and only exclusive invitations were sent out.

When the music got too loud during the wee hours, residents complained to the condominium’s security personnel who contacted the cops.

Sources said that the suspects were from Penang, Kedah, Perlis, Perak and Selangor.
