Perforated Road threaten the road users at housing area

1226

Damaged roads and perforated problem was often a major issue for residents in housing areas at Senadin, Miri. Most roads are built in residential areas using low-quality materials and too thin. It can easily be damaged when the vehicle often commute on the road.

Similarly, when the contractor dig a hole on the road to install pipes and so on, the hole does not cover up properly and as time went it will be damaged and hollow. They only cover the road with a little rock and not properly unequal until cause the road become damaged.

One of the residents in Senadin residential areas complained there were two holes covered with water and difficult to see during the rainy season when using the Jati Utama Desa Senadin Road.

According to him, if not carefully through the road especially during the night and heavy rains, it could cause an accident or damage to road user’s vehicle. For those who use motorcycles or bicycles have to be careful because it can also cause injury if fall in the hole.

Safety of residents and road users need to be addressed by the parties concerned to avoid any untoward incident occurred in the area.

We urge the Miri City Council (MCC) and those concerned immediately address the problem from lingering so that the people in these neighborhoods are not threatened by the danger of accidents due to the potholes.
