KUALA TERENGGANU: Police are pursuing several leads in the murder of Mohd Lutpi Mansor, who was robbed and shot dead in front of his nasi kukus shop in Paka, Dungun.
Terengganu CID chief ACP K. Manoharan said that while the motive of the case was believed to be robbery, the police had not discounted other possibilities, including revenge.
“We have questioned the victim’s family members and several workers. There are a few leads, some positive ones,” said ACP Manoharan, who was appointed to lead a task force to investigate the murder.

“The post-mortem results found two gunshot wounds. The bullets have since been retrieved and sent to the Forensics Unit,” he said.
He also said that it was believed that the shots were not fired from close range but this had yet to be confirmed.
None of those questioned claimed that they had heard the sound of gunshots that morning, added ACP Manoharan.
Police are still searching for the victim’s 4WD which went missing from the scene and was believed to have been driven off by the murder suspects.
Mohd Lutpi, who owned a chain of nasi kukus restaurants in Terengganu, was found dead at 7.30am on Tuesday outside his shop in Paka.
He lived above the shop with his wife Nor Zudawati Omar, 25, and two children, aged five and four months.
