KUALA TERENGGANU: A former Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) student pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court here today to secretly disposing of her dead baby.
Zarina Sulaiman, 21, of Kampung Felda Cherul Kemaman, admitted concealing the birth of the baby by disposing of the body at Sutera Hostel, UiTM Chendering branch, Kubang Ikan, Chendering, between 11pm and midnight on Jan 29, 2008.
Magistrate Mohd Yusoff Yunus allowed bail of RM3,500 with one surety and fixed May 26 for mention pending a social report on her.
Zarina did not post bail and was sent to the Pengkalan Chepa prison.
Chief Insp Marzita Subaker appeared for the prosecution. – Bernama
