KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 \u2014 PAS has revealed the names of five Terengganu Umno leaders it claims received land from the Barisan Nasional (BN) state government including former Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh.<\/p>\n
The Islamist party\u2019s state chief Abdul Wahid Endut had last week said it had a list of leaders from its rival who were \u201cgifted\u201d land by the state.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday, I expose five names first. We don\u2019t want to reveal all. We will do a few at a time to see their (Umno) reaction.<\/p>\n
\u201cThen we will bring this to the state assembly from April 23 to 26,\u201d the Kuala Terengganu MP was quoted as saying by party organ Harakah yesterday.<\/p>\n
Abdul Wahid alleged that all five \u2014 Idris, Besut MP Datuk Seri Abdullah Muhammad Zin, Hulu Besut assemblyman Nawi Mohamad, state executive councillor Karzan Che Mat and Kota Putera assemblyman Muhammad PEhimi Yusoh \u2014 received one hectare each.<\/p>\n
He said that as 20 housing lots could be carved out of each hectare of land, \u201cthe rights of 20 citizens were denied by each BN elected representative\u201d.<\/p>\n
Abdul Wahid, who is also Wakaf Mempelam assemblyman, warned that he had many more names of BN leaders given valuable seaside land by the ruling coalition\u2019s state administration.<\/p>\n
The PAS state commissioner yesterday joined other PAS leaders including president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang in Kajang to meet Terengganu natives who had migrated to the Klang Valley.<\/p>\n
The party told these potential voters that Umno had made the Terengganu public dependent on them by denying them opportunities to be successful.<\/p>\n
