Coconut milk is selling at RM9 per kilo.<\/p>\n<p>Many retailers claimed there was a shortage of coconuts.<\/p>\n<p>Retailer Yusof Abdullah, 43, said he had to sell at a higher price because suppliers were also \u201covercharging\u201d him.<\/p>\n<p><em>Nasi dagang <\/em>seller  Fatimah Awang, 46, said she had to raise the price of her dishes  because of the higher cost of ingredients, including coconut.<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Agricultural Marketing Au-thority (Fama) said it would investigate the matter.<\/p>\n<p>Its state <span class=\"knx-annotation\">director Hasan Jusoh<\/span> said Fama would source supply locally and from abroad to solve the problem. &#8211; Bernama<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KUALA TERENGGANU: The price of a coconut has gone up to between RM2.50 and RM3 here.
