PAS MPs are disappointed that the Pakatan Harapan government has ignored Kelantan and Terengganu in Budget 2019.<\/p>\n
PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said this was unfair for the two east coast states.<\/p>\n
He said Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad had talked about balanced regional development but the budget did not reflect that.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are no details on projects for the east coast states. I think there may have been negligence in terms of government planning,\u201d said the Kubang Kerian MP.<\/p>\n
Tuan Ibrahim said it appeared as if Pakatan Harapan is neglecting the welfare of the opposition-led states of Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn this budget, we do not know exactly how much is the revenue and expenditure. We are only told the amount that will be spent.<\/p>\n
\u201cHow much is the real deficit?\u201d<\/p>\n
Asked if PAS would reject the budget, Tuan Ibrahim said the party would look into this in detail.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will look at the overall budget.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis budget does not seem to have generated new sources of revenue to boost our country\u2019s economic growth.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will take this up during the debate on the budget in Parliament later,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Tumpat MP Che Abdullah Md Nawi was also disappointed Budget 2019 had nothing to offer Kelantan and Terengganu.<\/p>\n
He said this will affect development in the two states.<\/p>\n
Pasir Mas MP Ahmad Fadhli Shaari was upset there was no Kelantan-specific project although Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng himself had said last week that it is a \u201cpoor and failed state\u201d.<\/p>\n
