There have been 53 police reports made against Penang Deputy Chief Minister II Dr P. Ramasamy (pic), including one from himself, said Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun.<\/p>\n
The Inspector-General of Police said this when asked to comment on allegations of possible links between the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), a terrorist organisation based in northeastern Sri Lanka, and Dr Ramasamy.<\/p>\n
“As of yesterday, there had been 53 reports. We are currently investigating the matter.<\/p>\n
“While originally the investigation was being handled by the Penang police, I have instructed Bukit Aman to take over, as it is a case of interest.<\/p>\n
“If we need to record his statement, we will,” he said at a press conference at Persada Plus here on Thursday.<\/p>\n
In an unrelated matter, the IGP said that he hopes former Sabah Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman will comply with his request to return to Malaysia.<\/p>\n
