PAS vice president Ustaz Idris Ahmad will be defending the Bukit Gantang parliamentary seat in GE14.<\/p>\n
Idris is the incumbent MP, having narrowly won the seat in GE13 with a 988-vote majority against Umno\u2019s Ismail Saffian.<\/p>\n
Idris was one of four Perak candidates announced by PAS president Datuk Seri Tuan Guru Abdul Hadi Awang at the Gelombang Hijau Perak ceramah here last night.<\/p>\n
Besides Idris, Ustaz Hadi also announced that Perak PAS commissioner Razman Zakaria would be contesting the Gunung Semanggol state seat.<\/p>\n
\u201cNational party committee member Dr Najihatussalehah Ahmad will be running for the Parit parliament seat,\u201d Hadi said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will also be placing Bagan Datuk PAS information chief Ata Abdul Munim Hasan Adli to contest the Bagan Datuk parliament seat.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYou will have to wait until April 19 for the rest of the candidates,\u201d He joked to the crowd.<\/p>\n
This is the second time Dr Najihatussalehah will be contesting the Parit seat, after an unsuccessful run in the 12th general election.<\/p>\n
She also ran for the Belanja state seat in GE13, and most recently contested the Kuala Kangsar parliamentary seat in the 2016 by-election.<\/p>\n
Ustaz Hadi also said PAS would be contesting 160 parliamentary seats nationwide during the coming election, adding that the party had strong support nationwide.<\/p>\n
