{"id":6420,"date":"2011-07-07T03:08:16","date_gmt":"2011-07-06T19:08:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/buletinonline.net\/v7\/index.php\/2011\/07\/more-pas-divisions-in-sabah\/"},"modified":"2011-07-07T03:08:16","modified_gmt":"2011-07-06T19:08:16","slug":"more-pas-divisions-in-sabah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buletinonlines.net\/v7\/index.php\/more-pas-divisions-in-sabah\/","title":{"rendered":"More PAS divisions in Sabah"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong> <\/strong><a class=\"image-link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.freemalaysiatoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/hari_pergulungan_18-565x375-452x300.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-40154\" src=\"https:\/\/www.freemalaysiatoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/hari_pergulungan_18-565x375-300x199.jpg\" border=\"0\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" style=\"float: right;\" \/><\/a>KOTA   KINABALU: In its effort to make its presence felt in Sabah in the   coming general election, PAS is planning to set up five more divisions   in state soon.<\/p>\n<p>President Abdul Hadi Awang, who is here on a two-day visit, claimed that PAS\u2019 political clout is growing in Sabah.<\/p>\n<p>He said the party now had more than 11,000 registered members in eight existing divisions throughout the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will be launching at least five more divisions soon,\u201d he told a   news conference at the party\u2019s newly opened Putatan Division office   here.<\/p>\n<p>Hadi, who met with party members in Kota Belud, also  commented on  the arrest of seven people who were wearing yellow t-shirts  during  breakfast at a coffeeshop here last Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe BN is panicking and this shows that they are not able to handle   issues affecting the country. We are supposed to be a democratic   civilised nation and need reformation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA good government should not be scared to face challenges or accept the people\u2019s complaints.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBN should not be scared if they think they are not wrong, only the wrong will feel threatened.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut if they are wrong, they should do the right thing just like any responsible government would do,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The seven people were relased on police bail the same day.<\/p>\n<p>They  are being investigated under Section 27 (5) of the Police Act  for  categorically expressing support for the rally and conspiring to   instigate.<\/p>\n<p>They are also being investigated under Section 108 of the Penal Code for abetting.<br \/> <strong><br \/> <span style=\"color: #993366;\">Positive reforms<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It was reported that among  those detained were PKR Youth exco-member  Dr Natassia Sarah and former  Sabah PKR chief Ansari Abdullah\u2019s son,  Mohd Ezral.<\/p>\n<p>Hadi said that  the July 9 Bersih 2.0 gathering is a peaceful rally  which is initiated  by Malaysians concerned about the issues affecting  the country,  including its political scenario.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Bersih rally involves non-governmental organisation,   non-political bodies, they are just concern over issues in the country,   including politics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBersih is pushing for positive political  reformation, to build good  democracy and to see that the opposition\u2019s,  as well as the people\u2019s,  call for a more just and transparent democracy  system in the nation is  met.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDemocracy is not just about polling, it is about having clean   electoral, media coverage for all to get the views and information from   both opposition and government parties, the caretaker of the  government,  Election Commission, money politics and abuse of power.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll these need to be addressed and find the best solution to overcome it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Touching on money politics, he said some Umno leaders have disclosed that it is also happens during the party\u2019s election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo
