{"id":6274,"date":"2011-06-19T18:08:49","date_gmt":"2011-06-19T10:08:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/buletinonline.net\/v7\/index.php\/2011\/06\/150-houses-in-teluk-pasu-destroyed-in-storm\/"},"modified":"2011-06-19T18:08:49","modified_gmt":"2011-06-19T10:08:49","slug":"150-houses-in-teluk-pasu-destroyed-in-storm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buletinonlines.net\/v7\/index.php\/150-houses-in-teluk-pasu-destroyed-in-storm\/","title":{"rendered":"150 Houses In Teluk Pasu Destroyed In Storm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/melayukini.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Gambar-Ribut-Kuala-Terengganu-2011-3.jpg\" border=\"0\" width=\"314\" height=\"186\" style=\"float: right;\" \/>KUALA TERENGGANU, June 19 (Bernama) &#8211; About 150 houses in 13 villages in Teluk Pasu were destroyed in a storm last night.<\/p>\n<p>Teluk Pasu State Assemblyman Datuk Rahin Mohd Said said the figure may increase as it is believed that many houses have not been accounted for.<\/p>\n<p>[Picture &#8211; fallen trees at Batu Buruk, after hit by storm]<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The storm last night is the worst in history,&#8221; he told reporters after visiting victims in several affected villages here Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Rahin who is also State Exco for Tourism, Culture, Arts and Heritage said worst hit was Kampung Kebur Air where over 30 houses were destroyed.<\/p>\n<p>He said the state government will provide assistance such as roofing materials to repair the houses while trees that pose danger to villagers were ordered cut.<\/p>\n<p>Civil Defence Department personnel were seen busy cutting the fallen trees that blocked roads while some fell on electrical cables.<\/p>\n<p>Operation officer Othman Mohamed said a team of ten been clearing the roads of fallen trees after the storm struck at 10pm.<\/p>\n<p>The villages affected include Kampung Manir, Kampung Kebur Air and Kampung Wakaf Mempelam.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212; BERNAMA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KUALA TERENGGANU, June 19 (Bernama) &#8211; About 150 houses in 13 villages in Teluk Pasu were destroyed in a storm last night.
