Ahmad Bustamam said he had not slept for a week worrying about the fate of his fourth son Nor Zaini Ahmad Bustaman, 22.<\/p>\n
\u201cHow can you sleep knowing that your son is in danger somewhere in the middle of the ocean?<\/p>\n
\u201cI am so relieved that all of them are safe\u201d he said when contacted by The Star yesterday.<\/p>\n
Ahmad Bustamam, 57, said he had been performing the solat hajat from the day the vessel was reported missing.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am thinking of organising a thanksgiving ceremony now that my son and all the crew members on board are safe.\u201d<\/p>\n
Another crew member\u2019s father Abdul Rauf Salleh was similarly relieved after hearing news that his 34-year-old engineer son Nurul Nafis was safe.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have been made to understand that our security teams and the Navy were negotiating with the hijackers but I do not know much.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am most grateful to the Almighty as my son is safe,\u201d he said when contacted at his house in Paroi near Seremban.<\/p>\n
Abdul Rauf, 57, also expressed his gratitude to the Malaysian authorities for their hard work in tracing the vessel.<\/p>\n
