PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu today voiced confidence that the Islamist party would remain in Pakatan Rakyat (PR) and continue its \u2018tahaluf siyasi\u2019 (political cooperation) with its allies in PR, namely DAP and PKR.<\/p>\n

Despite receiving strong criticism from DAP on the proposed implementation of hudud in Kelantan, Mohamad said so far, PAS had not made any decision to leave the opposition pact.<\/p>\n

He was speaking at a press conference after opening the PAS Youth 56th Muktamar at the State Secretariat building, here, today.<\/p>\n

Mohamad was asked to comment on the speech by PAS Youth chief Suhaizan Kaiat at the opening ceremony in which he stressed that the movement wanted PAS to remain in PR and to continue its political cooperation with DAP and PKR.<\/p>\n

\"YM_2015050602_10_mohammad_sabu_pas_muktamar_620_413_100\"<\/a>Mohamad believed that PAS Youth which began its muktamar today and the party\u2019s Dewan Muslimat (women\u2019s wing) at its muktamar tomorrow would make the same stand.<\/p>\n

Mohamad, who is better known as Mat Sabu, said PAS still needed DAP and PKR\u2019s cooperation, especially in winning seats in the general elections.<\/p>\n

As the PAS’ President Datuk Seri Tuan Guru Abul Hadi said at the parliament lobby last week, PAS is still ini Pakatan Rakyat coalition.<\/p>\n

has hit out at DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng stating that neither does the latter know his heart nor does he know his.<\/p>\n

It was reported yesterday that the Penang chief minister stated Abdul Hadi\u2019s body was with Pakatan Rakyat but his heart was with Umno.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow do we know what is in each other\u2019s hearts?\u201d he said when met by reporters at the Parliament lobby, on Thursday 26 May.<\/p>\n

Stating that he is unable to predict the future, the Marang MP refused to answer questions of \u201cifs\u201d and \u201cmaybes\u201d, regarding PAS\u2019 future in the Pakatan Rakyat coalition.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do not even know if I would be alive tomorrow\u201d.<\/p>\n

Stating that at the moment he is still with Pakatan Rakyat, Abdul Hadi said that the Islamic party has \u201cbeen through it all\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll of it, we have faced before.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have been alone, we have been part of the government but usually old incidences do not repeat.\u201d<\/p>\n

Abdul Hadi however admitted that PAS\u2019 concept emphasised that they had to work with all the races in the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe cannot be alone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Urging everyone to \u201cwait and see\u201d for the future of Pakatan Rakyat, Abdul Hadi said meanwhile he was focused on the upcoming PAS Muktamar for now.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are happy that other parties are helping us campaign for our own elections. We are giving an opportunity to all parties to campaign along with PAS.\u201d<\/p>\n
