<\/a>He noted that DAP and PAS had only a difference in opinion.<\/p>\n“But what is the point for DAP to continuously attack PAS and its leaders … what good will come out of this fracas?<\/p>\n
“The worst case scenario is that PAS leaves Pakatan. This will only be decided in the upcoming muktamar.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd the president cannot decide whether PAS should leave Pakatan, he can only suggest,” Mohd Amar told reporters after attending the state liaison meeting chaired by state commissioner Datuk Ahmad Yakob on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Mohd Amar, who is contesting for the vice-president’s post in the June polls, said that PAS should remain in Pakatan.<\/p>\n
But he said the controversial hudud laws would still be a thorny issue between PAS and DAP.<\/p>\n
Mohd Amar was asked to comment after PAS vice-president Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said that DAP should stop attacking PAS incessantly and would not be responsible if the Islamist party leaves Pakatan.<\/p>\n
Mohd Amar said it was difficult to stop DAP from rambling with its barrage of attacks against Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang.<\/p>\n
\u201cI do not believe to fight fire with fire and we choose to keep silent, otherwise, things will get \u2018hotter\u2019,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He added that it was better for DAP to cool down and wait for the outcome of the muktamar, which is two weeks away.<\/p>\n
