PAS Tells DAP Not To Butt Into State\u2019s Affair"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kelantan PAS has reminded its Pakatan Rakyat ally DAP to stop trying to put a spanner in the state\u2019s plan to implement the hudud law.<\/p>\n<p>Kelantan Deputy Mentri Besar Datuk Mohd Amar Abdullah said it would be futile for DAP to keep butting into the state\u2019s affair and attempting to prevent it from implementing hudud.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s DAP\u2019s right to object to our plan, but it will not have any bearing on our resolve to implement hudud in Kelantan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is in accordance with the wish of the late Tok Guru Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat and we will soldier on to see the law is implemented here,\u201d Mohd Amar said after attending the state exco meeting chaired by Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob here on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/buletinonline.net\/v7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/hudud-nik-aziz.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-30731 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/buletinonline.net\/v7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/hudud-nik-aziz-300x246.jpg\" alt=\"hudud nik aziz\" width=\"300\" height=\"246\" \/><\/a>The former Kelantan mentri besar, who had served the state for 22 years and who was also PAS spiritual adviser, died recently of prostate cancer.<\/p>\n<p>Mohd Amar said this when asked to comment on the latest statement by DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang urging PAS to abandon its plans to implement hudud in Kelantan.<\/p>\n<p>Lim had reminded PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang to honour his words before the 13th general election that PAS would not push for the implementation of hudud law.<\/p>\n<p>Lim claimed that Abdul Hadi had said that there were many matters that had to be implemented first before hudud, like the minimum wage scheme.<\/p>\n<p>On another matter, Mohd Amar said the state assembly which had been scheduled for March 16 would not be changed or postponed although nomination for the Chempaka by-election had been fixed for March 10.<\/p>\n<p>The state by-election was called following the death of Nik Aziz.He said the state was disappointed with the Election Commission for not taking the state assembly sitting into consideration when fixing the nomination date.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe sitting will be convened although it will clash with the Chempaka by-election period,\u201d he said, adding that it was an important sitting to enable the state to rush the amendments to the Syariah Criminal Code 11 1993 to pave the way for the implementation of hudud.<\/p>\n<p>This, he said, was to enable the amendments to be inserted into the two Private Members Bills to be tabled in Parliament.<\/p>\n<p>The amendments seek more rotan lashes under the hudud for six main criminal offences, including apostasy, illicit sexual relations, alcohol consumption, making unproven accusations of illicit sex, theft and robbery and qisas, which covers murder and
