in a Coma has Baby"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DOCTORS at the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital in Kuala Terengganu managed to operate and deliver a healthy baby girl while her 33-year-old mother is still in a coma.<\/p>\n<p>Harian Metro reported that doctors performed a caesarian operation on the housewife on Jan 15.<\/p>\n<p>Nor Laila Razak, from Kampung Tengah, Merang Setiu, fell into a coma October last year due to encephalitis when she was five months\u2019 pregnant and was placed under close supervision at the intensive care unit.<\/p>\n<p>Her husband, Rusili Usof, 35, said he was ecstatic with the arrival of his daughter Noor Shafikah and commended doctors for their effort in saving her life despite his wife\u2019s condition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe is a bit underweight, but is healthy and was discharged from the hospital on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I am sad for my wife who is still in a coma,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Rusili, a fisherman, said his mother would care for the infant but he would continue travelling some 90km by motorcycle every day to visit his wife at the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>He said he has yet to receive welfare aid although he has applied for it months ago.
