{"id":2498,"date":"2010-05-19T02:34:46","date_gmt":"2010-05-18T18:34:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/buletinonline.net\/v7\/index.php\/2010\/05\/putrajaya-dream-not-far-fetched-says-kit-siang\/"},"modified":"2010-05-19T02:34:46","modified_gmt":"2010-05-18T18:34:46","slug":"putrajaya-dream-not-far-fetched-says-kit-siang","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buletinonlines.net\/v7\/index.php\/putrajaya-dream-not-far-fetched-says-kit-siang\/","title":{"rendered":"Putrajaya dream not far-fetched, says Kit Siang"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KUALA LUMPUR: Pakatan Rakyat&#8217;s victory in the recent Sibu by-election  proved that all is not lost for the coalition in its hopes of winning  the 13th general election, and forming the next federal government.<\/p>\n<p>In his blog, DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang also said the days Barisan  Nasional considered Sabah and Sarawak as its \u201cfixed deposits\u201d are over.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe BN survived the onslaught of the 2008 political tsunami due to  the support from Sabah and Sarawak.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, it must have realised now that it cannot take the voters of  the two states for granted by disregarding their legitimate grievances  and discontent,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Last Sunday, DAP&#8217;s Wong Ho Leng defeated BN&#8217;s Robert Lau Hui Yew by a  wafer-thin majority of 398 votes, in a seat that is purpotedly a \u201cBN  stronghold\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Lim said the victory had also halted BN&#8217;s move to regain its  two-thirds majority in Parliament following a series of defections by PR  lawmakers earlier.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the Sibu by-election also saw Pakatan component parties  displaying a sense of maturity and effectiveness in its political  alliance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c It was the first foray for the team of DAP, PKR, PAS and SNAP.
