Miri City is booming, especially in the area of \u200b\u200bMarina Park in Miri city centre. Many shop building has been built in the area which used to be the route of Miri River and Miri river mouth. The process of land reclamation in Miri River has long been carried out with bringing the land from the hillside by lorry and poured in a low area. Miri City seemed to move forward compared to other cities in Sarawak. More vehicles on the roads and this causes traffic jams occur, especially in Miri city centre.<\/p>\n

Although many new roads were built, traffic jams still occur on the road leading to the city centre and also school area. This resulted mainly from attitude of drivers who park their cars arbitrary or along the road side due to lack of parking space and to take the easy way to get to the destination.<\/p>\n

To reduce and overcome the problem of traffic congestion in the area of \u200b\u200bMarina Park and the city centre, we would urge local authorities to build a bridge across Miri River from Marina Park to Peninsula Road or better known as Pulau Melayu heading towards Lutong.<\/p>\n

\"Miri<\/a>With the bridge through a Miri River to Pulau Melayu at least it will reduce traffic congestion in the city canter. Maybe the authorities can build a Miri port at the end of Miri river mouth to facilitate a large ships drooping there.<\/p>\n

With the bridge from Marina Park to Pulau Melayu, the driver can choose a shortcut trip to Lutong, the movement of vehicles will run smoothly because many lanes or direction from Miri to Lutong and so on, especially at peak hours. Roads should be widened and parking areas should be increased to prevent vehicles parking along the road side.<\/p>\n

Hope this matter can be addressed by the appropriate authorities to make Miri the best beautiful city, organized and have an efficient public transportation routes and attractive in the country. Make Miri city as a model city complete with infrastructure and public facilities that can reduce traffic jams.<\/p>\n

Cooperation with all parties to make the city of Miri as the best city in the country will become a reality, if received the cooperation of all parties, regardless of race, religion and political affiliation.<\/p>\n
