House razed seems to be a trend currently which not more than a week there is a house on fire on the last Thursday at Pengkalan Lutong Village. Luckily no fatalities occurred only destroyed a motorcycle because could not be saved. The fire causing the victim’s family had to stay in their family home nearby.<\/p>\n
According to one of the victim’s family, when they make an emergency call, the action of the operator asked all sorts of questions causing the caller feel awry whereas that time the fire is getting bigger. Maybe the emergency call operator thought it a prank call causing they asked all sorts of questions, thus causing the fireman difficult to reach.<\/p>\n
Previously we have suggested that the fireman and those concerned go down to the ground provide information as well as training to the villagers on how to control the fire from spreading. They should be provided with knowledge on how to use a fire extinguisher.<\/p>\n
Supposed to every house and longhouses should be encouraged to keep a fire extinguisher as a preliminary step to control the fire from spreading. With the availability of fire extinguishers at least be able to control the fire from spreading to nearby areas.<\/p>\n
PAS Miri very sympathetic to the plight of the victims and hope they will be given emergency relief from the authorities immediately.<\/p>\n
We urge the authorities to investigate what actually causes of fire incidents which often occur in the village. Is the cause of the short circuit, negligence or any other cause which often causing a house razed in the Miri division at this moment?<\/p>\n
The relevant authorities must provide information and reminders to the villagers about the dangers of fire and the need to know the ways to control the fire from spreading. May God always protect us from the fire from continuing and it can be controlled from recurring.<\/p>\n
