prepare the education blueprint, pointing out that the firm\u2019s staff are not education specialists but merely general management consultants.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/buletinonline.net\/v7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/A94E8161.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-15202 alignright\" alt=\"A94E8161\" src=\"https:\/\/buletinonline.net\/v7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/A94E8161-300x199.jpg\" width=\"416\" height=\"275\" \/><\/a>He said the project management office (PMO) could have asked other \u201chigh-powered\u201d individuals from the Education Ministry and the government\u2019s efficiency unit Pemandu to prepare the blueprint, instead of hiring external consultants.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSurely the PMO could have utilised its many capable resources within the Ministry and Pemandu to prepare this National Education Blueprint?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy waste RM20 million on employing expensive management consultants?\u201d the Serdang MP asked in a statement today.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe role of McKinsey is not even documented in the National Education Blueprint (NEB),\u201d he pointed out.<\/p>\n<p>Citing a written parliamentary reply by the Ministry of Education to his question yesterday, Ong said the RM20,556 million was given to McKinsey and Co in two
