KOTA BAHARU, Dec 5 (Bernama) — The Gabungan and Mampat non-governmental organisations (NGOs) from Kelantan and Terengganu respectively have joined forces to launch a movement called “Gegar” to urge the federal government to restore oil royalty rights to the two states.<\/p>\n

Gabungan chairman Dr Abdul Halim Yusof said Gegar was politically neutral and that its only objective was to struggle for oil royalty rights for Kelantan and Terengganu to be restored.<\/p>\n

For a start, Gegar would soon organise a convention in Kuala Lumpur to discuss the matter, he told reporters after the launching of “Gegar” here on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Mampat chairman Mohd Fauzi Abu Samah said they planned to invite Gua Musang Member of Parliament Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah to participate in the convention.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
