<\/a>“I was shocked upon hearing about the killing in Kuala Lumpur, which was carried out in broad daylight,” he said in a telephone interview from Europe.<\/p>\nPascal, who holds dual Swiss and British citizenships, urged the Malaysian authorities to do its utmost to apprehend the culprits involved in the killing of his 75-year-old father and bring them to justice.<\/p>\n
Pascal, 45, who is also a banker, said the irony was that his father was murdered in Malaysia, a country for which the latter had so much affection, having called it home for more than four decades.<\/p>\n
Hussain Ahmad was gunned down while his 49-year-old wife was seriously injured when they emerged from the Kuan Yin Temple in Lorong Ceylon about 2pm. [Picture]<\/p>\n
The septuagenarian sustained two shots in the chest and died on the spot while his wife was hit in the left hand and right leg.<\/p>\n
Initial police investigations revealed that the gunman was among three people who waited outside the temple for Hussain Ahmad who was said to have been in a business discussion with a colleague.<\/p>\n
Pascal said he came to know about the killing, a few hours after it was carried out in the Malaysian capital, adding that he was also informed by the Malaysian police.
