Allows Pas To Set Aside Judgment In Default"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KUALA LUMPUR &#8211; The High Court on 23rd July granted PAS&#8217; application to set aside a judgment in default order served on the party in a defamation suit by the Kemaman Municipal Council (MPK) over the issue of the Bukit Takal Zoo in Terengganu.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/buletinonline.net\/v7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/perbelanjaan-zoobukit-takal.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-13686 alignright\" alt=\"perbelanjaan zoobukit takal\" src=\"https:\/\/buletinonline.net\/v7\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/perbelanjaan-zoobukit-takal-300x194.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"194\" \/><\/a>Judge Rosilah Yop made the decision after meeting in chambers counsel Norazmir Zakaria, representing PAS, and Dzahara Mit Dahlan, for MPK.<\/p>\n<p>Norazmir told reporters that the court ordered PAS to file its statement of defence by Aug 2 and set the same date for case management.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;On that day (Aug 2), the court will fix a trial date,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>On May 20, this year, MPK obtained a judgment in default against PAS from the High Court.<\/p>\n<p>MPK had filed the application for a default judgment against the party after it failed to appear twice in court despite being ordered to do so.<\/p>\n<p>On March 22, MPK filed the suit against PAS, seeking RM5 million in damages from the party which it claimed had distributed pamphlets containing false and defamatory words on the Bukit
