<\/a>The agenda that has been stressed throughout the campaign period is focused on putting a stop to the neglect of constituents, in particular the level of poverty and land allocation issues.<\/p>\n“(It is) to ensure that the constituents of Kuala Besut will no longer live in neglect,” said Kuala Besut PAS deputy by-election director Satiful Bahri Mamat at a press conference at the party headquarters in Kampung Baru.<\/p>\n
The agenda will also focus on helping low-income voters, especially farmers and fishermen.<\/p>\n
“We will also scrutinise and monitor the promises and project announcements made by BN during the campaign, and will ensure that they are fulfilled or carried out.<\/p>\n
“During the campaign, they must realise that they are supposed to be talking about what they have done and not what they are planning to do for the constituents,” said Satiful.<\/p>\n
He urged BN to make sustainable promises and not promises that are only valid during the election period.<\/p>\n
Satiful also stressed that the BN coalition should focus on solving constituents’ issues rather than planning for more mega projects.<\/p>\n
“As advertised in a Malay mainstream newspaper, a RM250 million budget has been allocated for a big project,” he said.<\/p>\n
“They had also announced a project back in 2009 in Bagan Pinang, Port Dickson, to set up an army town (Bandar Tentera). The project has not been completed until today.<\/p>\n
“These promises are similar to the zoo at Bukit Takal and the duty-free complex at Tasik Kenyir,” said Satiful, recalling projects announced by the BN coalition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
