“We will not only focus on the hotspots, but will also pay attention to alllocations to prevent any untoward incidents on the nomination day, campaign period, polling day and during the announcement of the 13th general election results.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n
“Besides, we will also carry out frequent patrol in those areas to put theso-called election troublemakers under control,” he said after attending an election briefing here today.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n
He said the police would not comprise with anyone, including Barisan Nasional (BN) supporters, who create commotions that could affect the election process and public order.<\/p>\n
“Therefore, we would like to advise all supporters of contesting political parties not to provoke each other to the extent of causing fights during the13th general election process,” he said.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n
Jamshah said the police would not hesitate to take action against those found to have committed such offence.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n
He also reminded all political parties to apply for permit before holding any ceramah (political talk) during the campaign period.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, he said 3,000 police personnel would be deployed across the statefor the general election.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n
