{"id":10744,"date":"2012-11-01T00:50:00","date_gmt":"2012-10-31T16:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/buletinonline.net\/v7\/index.php\/2012\/11\/rtd-to-go-ahead-with-aes\/"},"modified":"2012-11-01T00:50:00","modified_gmt":"2012-10-31T16:50:00","slug":"rtd-to-go-ahead-with-aes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buletinonlines.net\/v7\/index.php\/rtd-to-go-ahead-with-aes\/","title":{"rendered":"RTD to go ahead with AES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>He said the RTD would provide a detailed explanation about the system&#8217;s important function in saving lives and urged everyone to support AES to curb the rising number of fatal accidents.<\/p>\n<p>Ismail was confident that with proper explanation, the four opposition-led states which had threatened to boycott AES would agree to its implementation.<\/p>\n<p>He said the debate about AES had caused much confusion among the public.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We hope we can get their support (the opposition-held states), including Sabah and Sarawak, because the purpose (of AES) is to save lives,&#8221; he said at the closing of the Terengganu RTD Innovation Month here yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Ismail said last year, 6,877 fatal accidents were recorded nationwide, which was considered &#8220;very high&#8221; for a population of 28 million.<\/p>\n<p>He said the figure was much higher compared with developed countries.
