PAS Youth denies any involvement in an alleged gathering to protest against the government.<\/p>\n
Its information chief, Khairul Nadzir Helmi Azhar (pic), was referring to a poster circulating on social media and messaging platforms.<\/p>\n
\u201cPAS Youth did not organise any gathering on the date as mentioned in the poster.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will not be responsible for any repercussions on the gathering that we do not organise,\u201d he said in a statement on Thursday (April 9).<\/p>\n
The poster, which carried \u201cHimpunan Turun Anwar,\u201d called on PAS members to join the protest allegedly to be held at Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur, this weekend.<\/p>\n
Khairul Nadzir said any gatherings that are organised by PAS Youth will certainly be carefully planned, including all procedures that involve the authorities.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is not the ‘standard’ of how PAS Youth organises a gathering. So once again, PAS Youth denies organising any gathering as it is being circulated.<\/p>\n
On the contrary, Khairul Nadzir said the PAS central committee is holding a programme this weekend in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri.<\/p>\n
