Miri Member of Parliament Dr Michael Teo was attacked by an unidentified man near his clinic on last Friday morning. The assaulted case against MP Miri Dr Michael Teo, causing injury indeed their acts of those not have the feeling of a humanist.
Dr Teo also suffered three broken bones in the collar that requires major surgery and the wounds on his head caused by a strong blow in the attack. Baseball bat attacker managed to escape and the police are still investigating the case.
PAS Sarawak Deputy Comssioner Haji Jofree Jaraie saya, the events may affect the safety of the public if the security does not take immediate action on those who use violence against someone.
“Not only the security forces should always take care of the safety of the representatives and members of the public but should continue to monitor criminal activity often happens in Miri city.
“If there are any problems with disgruntled parties they can face to face with those concerned so that the incidence of violent attack that injured someone does not happen again,”he said in a statement.
PAS Sarawak urge the security forces take immediate action on those responsible for the attack on MP Miri so that this kind of incident does not happen again.
Jafree said the security forces must act decisively not only on those who use violence against others and even snatch theft incident and robberies are becoming more common in Miri city also need to be addressed as quickly as possible.
“We hope Dr Teo speedy recovery and can perform its duties as representatives of the people very well,”he added
