KUALA TERENGGANU – A 16-year-old student went missing and feared drown while bathing at a river near the Kuala Ibai Recreational Park, here, today.
State Fire and Rescue Department public relation officer Rozizah Abnihajar said the victim, Mohd Amiro Farhan Alias had gone to the park with several friends.
Rozizah said in the 2.30pm incident, Mohd Amiro suddenly went missing after several minutes and his friends alerted the villagers.
She said the Kuala Terengganu station received a call at 2.44 pm and a fire engine with a team of seven firemen were deployed to the scene for a search and rescue operation.
Rozizah said as at 4pm today, the victim has yet to be found.
